Lawnsmith Green-Up Ferrous Sulphate

Please note: Though this is classed as a fertiliser it is NOT lawn food but more like a vitamin. It is best used in conjunction with fertiliser for greening and grass health or by itself to build disease resistance, control moss and worm casting.

Application rates:

To be mixed with water - 'no blockage' mixing instructions supplied with product

• Green-up Rate: Year round; 0.5 - 1 gram m² for a green-up anytime ground moisture is available
• Hardening Rate: September to December; 1.5 - 2 grams m² for cool weather disease resistance
• Acidifying Rate: Spring & Autumn; 2+ grams m² will temporarily lower pH/increase acidity
• Worm Cast Reduction: Spring & Autumn; 2 grams m²  will temporarily reduce surface casting. May need up to 3 applications approximately 2-4 weeks apart
• Moss Rate: September to May; 4-5 grams m² in cool wet conditions
• Maximum rate: 5g m² in cool wet conditions normally from September to May

TOTAL maximum amount to use in any 12 months is 20 g/m²

Do NOT use on grass less than 2 months old at rates higher than 2g/m²

Directions for Use

• Supplied in re-sealable plastic tubs
• A soluble iron sulphate powder for application as a liquid
• Easily applied by sprayer or watering can with sprinkle bar
• Use as standalone treatment or in conjunction with a lawn fertiliser
• Do NOT mix with weed killer
• Zero nitrogen gives green lawns without grass growth
• Aids in disease resistance and worm cast control
• Will keep indefinitely if kept sealed in the tub in a cool environment
• Keep off hard surfaces as staining will occur
• Will not kill other plants though may temporarily blacken leaves if sprayed
• Lawn may be used once dry but staining can occur for up to 24 hours
• Grazing pets may be allowed on after 3 cuts
