Using this Site
Presently this site is split into two main parts:
BuyLawnsmith - Lawn Care Products is where you will find all the latest and best products for lawn care.
AskLawnsmith - Lawn Care Advice, where you are now, is split into three Skill Levels. For better or for worse these are called: Novice, Amateur and Enthusiast
Each Skill Level has a variety of lawn care topics. The higher the Skill Level the more topics are covered
Each Topic has a certain number of pages within it. Once again, the higher the Skill Level the more pages are present as is the detail within them
Each Page contains help and advice pertinent to your chosen Topic and Skill Level in bite size portions
The first page in each Skill Level will help you decide whether that skill level is right for you. Then from your chosen Skill Level you can access advice appropriate to you and your Skill Level. There is more than one way to care for a lawn so whichever level you choose you will still have a lawn to be proud of.
If you are new to lawn care or gardening we suggest you start in the Novice section. It’s quick and easy and assumes you have no prior knowledge. If you want to learn and achieve more we suggest you move to a higher level in the following year.
You can change Skill Level at anytime, however, we suggest you stick to one Skill Level per Topic. In other words, reading Moss Control for Novices AND Moss Control for Amateurs may well confuse and be detrimental to good results. However, if you feel that overall the Novice level is best for you but have a particular problem with moss in your lawn then by all means go to a higher Skill Level to get more advice and ideas for this particular problem.
If you are looking for a Topic or item and are unsure what Skill Level it resides then use the site map at the top of the page. From here you can quickly browse all the titles and hopefully find what you want. If not try our FAQ’s or submit your own question at Ask the Lawnsmith.
Finally, if you have any comments or questions about the usability of this site or the site in general we would love to hear from you also at Ask the Lawnsmith.
Regards
