It is your tolerance to lawn weeds that is going to dictate how much time and effort you put into eradicating them. Some people don’t mind the odd lawn weed here and there and often find a few small clusters of daisies or celandine scattered about quite attractive. Yet others seem to favour a ‘scorched earth’ policy which often means the death of the lawn as well!
Unfortunately there is no ‘quick and easy’ way to having absolutely no weeds; increasing chemical concentrations or giving weeds ‘an extra squirt’ is not the way. However, an ounce of prevention will make a big difference; just a few changes to the way you care for your lawn rather than EXTRA work is all it takes.
Using weed killer is a serious business. Professionals have to be certificated to be able to use commercial strength pesticides. Though we are only concerned here with amateur products they still need to be used responsibly. By giving you a little extra information your weed control efforts WILL work; you’ll use less chemicals and we will all be better off!
