There are whole books written on soil. It’s not just ‘dirt’ but a mixture of many interrelated components that make soil what it is. All soil is ‘good’ it’s just that some are better than others for growing lawns, plants and crops. In fact without soil you’ve got nothing; we are not going to be able to feed the world or decorate our back yards with hydroponics!
In this section we look at just a few of the very basics to help you and your lawn get the most out of your soil. It goes without saying that a ‘good’ soil is half the battle but most times you are just going to have to make do with what you’ve got.
