Creating a New Lawn

The chances are laying a new lawn is not something you’re going to do for the fun of it. There will be an underlying reason; either to create a new lawn or replace, for whatever reason, an old lawn. This will be the same whether you’re a novice or an enthusiast.

Where the novice, amateur and enthusiast may differ is in the quality of the finished lawn. That’s as it should be. For the enthusiast an ornamental lawn will be fine grasses on a virtually flat surface, whereas the novice or reluctant gardener may just want an easily maintained lawn that will not cause a coronary when the kids and dog start rough housing!

To get there, everyone will follow similar procedures and methods, though the enthusiast may take two or three times longer over it!
